Privacy

Short version: your drawings stay on your device. Your account holds only what it needs to sign you in. No ads, no tracking, no selling data.

Your animations

Strogly Studio runs in your browser. Your animations are saved in your browser's storage (IndexedDB) on your own device and are not uploaded to us. Exports (MP4, GIF, timelapse) are made on your device too. If you clear your browser data, those animations are deleted, so use Save file to keep a .strogly copy.

Your account

You need a free account to use Strogly Studio. While it is in closed beta, we approve accounts by hand. For your account we store:

• your email address and, if you give one, your name;
• your password, but only as an argon2id hash: we never see or store the password itself;
• if you sign in with Google, your Google account ID, email and name, which Google shares with us when you agree;
• your sign-in sessions: when they were created and expire, and the browser's user-agent string. We store a fingerprint of each session token, not the token itself;
• when the account was created and last changed, and whether and when it was approved for the beta.

We use this only to sign you in, to give you what your account includes, and to email you once when your beta access is ready. The legal basis is performing our agreement with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); KVKK Art. 5(2)(c)). Sessions expire after 30 days. We keep account data until you delete your account.

Deleting your account

In the Studio, open your account menu on the home screen and choose Delete account. This removes your account and all its sessions from our database immediately. Your animations stay on your device. You can also write to us and ask us to do it.

AI

There is no generative AI in Strogly, and your drawings are never used to train any model.

Who processes data for us

• Our server: a virtual server we rent, which serves this website and runs the account database.
• Cloudflare: delivers this website, forwards email sent to [email protected], and keeps standard request logs (such as IP address and time) for security.
• Resend: sends our emails, such as the one saying your beta access is ready. It receives your email address, your name and the message.
• Google: only if you choose "Continue with Google".
• Polar: only if you become a founding member. Polar is the merchant of record and processes the payment and taxes under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email and order details.

We don't use cookies for tracking or advertising. The only cookies are the ones that keep you signed in.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it, under the GDPR and Türkiye's KVKK. Write to [email protected] and we'll answer within 30 days.

Changes

When something changes, for example when cloud backup or multiplayer arrives and some data has to leave your device, we'll update this page before the change ships.
